The world would have us believe everything is “out of order.” It is not. The order ordained by The Almighty is in place. His plan is “outreach, wanting all to be saved.” What are we to do? Communicate with the Only One who knows omnipresent and omnipotently what is going on and what is happening. For those who read and study the ancient texts, we see the message expounded. I noted something very interesting which happened about 920 B.C. During the dedication of Solomon’s temple.  He prayed and made key statements (2 Chronicles 6:14-42). He prayed for himself. He prayed for the people. He prayed for others: the homeless, the foreigners the outsiders. He prayed for the priests. He prayed for strangers, foreigners (the Gentiles). His prayer was one of mercy and far reaching. Some key words were included in Solomon’s prayer: to keep all under all conditions. He prayed forgiveness for everyone regardless of their trespasses. He expounded on the LORD’s promises and held on to them and believed they would receive them. He honored his father, David, and spoke respectfully of him. He said, “please confirm what you promised to my father, David. In vs. 18, he acknowledges something quite momentous, “but will God indeed dwell with man upon the earth? He acknowledges that he knows the temple cannot contain the God of Heavens and the Earth.” And that’s why He sent His Only Son, Yeshua. He is saying, prophetically, that God will dwell with man upon the earth. And that He did through His Son, Jesus Christ. Proving the point, the LORD cannot be contained in a church or other building. Although, singing has been indefinitely suspended by governors and other officials, worship continues in our hearts through singing sweet melodies ringing through our minds. It was July 14, 2020, that the California Department of Health clarified that indoor religious services have been suspended indefinitely. That’s not going to stop us. We keep on keeping on. God is “Spirit.” Not tangible. He is not a “touchy, feely, God. Solomon wants the temple watched over at all times. Verse 23, “May you hear from heaven and act.” God is proactive. Solomon says, return to God and confess His name and omniscience. Hear from heaven and forgive. Restore. In case of sin against you, turn back to Him and teach us your way. In other words, “Have mercy on us.” Vs 6: 28 if there is famine or plague, sickness, Solomon wants the people to be heard. This prayer is great and just on time for today’s challenges. It may be about 2900 years old but its components are relevant for here and now.  I beseech you to read 2 Chronicles 6:14-42. You will find it a blessing to your soul.
