Words of the Week – Seven Last Days of Christ – Part 1

Each week in March, I will share an account of His final week alive – what He was doing and experiencing, even though He knew He had only seven days live. I wonder, can you say what you would be doing, if you knew when you would breathe your last breath? Come with me and let us eavesdrop in on our hero and walk with Him during His final week as a living human being.

Words of the Week – The Ides of October 2023

Ides – “The 15th day of March, May, July, or October; or the 13th day of any other month in the ancient Roman calendar.” On Sunday, October 15, the message was about submission and obedience. The question is, have you totally submitted to the LORD God? If so, have you obeyed the Great Commission to share the message of the cross (good news) in your circle of influence? If not, wouldn’t this be a good time to do so? As we view the world with all of its problems – corruption, destruction, deception – we can only come to the

Words of the Week – Rest In the Lord

Scripture – Psalm 37:1-7a, NKJV We must learn to rest. Rest is just as important as movement. We must learn to live free from activity. I’m not suggesting we become lazy. Lazy is just doing nothing. Resting is consciously choosing to pause from one’s work. Rest is about the journey. Laziness has no journey. There are seven types of rest: physical (body) rest, mental (mind) rest, emotional (soul) rest, sensory rest, creative rest, social rest, and spiritual rest. Spiritual rest is the most important, but all forms of rest are necessary. Spiritual rest allows the body, mind and soul to recharge. Spiritual rest is achieved by pausing sensory, creative, and social activities. Spiritual rest is resting

Words of the Week – Bearing the Fruits of Love and Free Will

Guidance for 2022 – From Mess to a Miracle

God takes you through mess to reveal a miracle. 2021 has been a mess of epic proportions. The insurrection, oil spill, economic set back, supply chain debacle, vaccine fears, the Omicron variant, and fear of another national shut down. If we ever needed God to turn a mess into a miracle, it’s right now.

Words of the Week: American Tribalism – The Labyrinth

When King Minos imprisoned Daedalus and Icarus in the labyrinth, it was impossible to escape by foot, and the sea was guarded. Daedalus was the master craftsman, who designed the labyrinth for King Minos for reasons we will not go into here. Over a period, Daedalus and the king experienced a decline in their relationship. Consequently, the king placed Daedalus and Icarus in the labyrinth. Having made the labyrinth so ingeniously, Daedalus could not find his way out, but for one option. It was open to the sky. Daedalus made wings of wax for his son and himself and told
