Enrollment is now open for the Midwest College of Theology – L.A. campus with classes set to begin on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 5125 S. Crenshaw Blvd. in Los Angeles.

The college, operated by More Sure Word Training Center, offers Associate, Bachelor, Master’s and Doctoral degree programs as well as an Associate in Drug Intervention Ministry and various degrees in the field of missions, explained Dr. King D. Felton, campus chancellor, at an orientation session on Jan. 4. The Association of Independent Colleges and Seminaries accredit the school.

“If you want to deepen your understanding of biblical knowledge and Blood Covenant of Grace relationship, this school is for you,” Felton said. “At More Sure Word Midwest College of Theology, we will train, equip and empower those who sense the divine call of God on their lives.”

Agreeing with Felton’s comments, several students shared their reasons for enrolling in the college. Minister James Hammonds, who plans to obtain an Associate degree, said, “It’s a good accredited school and we have a phenomenal teacher and the staff. Dr. Felton wants us to get a deeper understanding of who God the Father is and he spends time to make sure that you get it and that is important.”

Pastor Vera Lewis serves as on the ministerial staff at Christ Apostolic Church in Los Angeles and she expects the curriculum to “help me in my counseling ministry to help others. You can learn Hebrew, Greek and what Jesus says and I am definitely open to receiving that.”

As Joseph Metoyer and his wife prepared to start a marriage ministry, he said God directed him to get credentialed in field, which led him to enroll in More Sure Word Midwest College of Theology. “I really wanted to operate under 2 Timothy 2:15 – ‘Study to show thyself approved unto God…rightly dividing the word of truth.’

“We plan to stay enrolled until we receive our Doctorate degrees and these studies will allow us to translate the word of God properly and not put ourselves in it, but reveal what God has said,” noted Metoyer.
