Taste of Soul (TOS) prides itself in being a fun-filled family event by creating a space for all ages. With the help of TOS sponsors Metro and Plenary Infrastructure Airports, Bakewell Media has been able to continue providing a space for kids to let loose and have fun at the Taste of Soul Children’s World Stage hosted by the Challengers Boys and Girls Club Saturday, October 21.
For the past four years, Children’s World host and founder of the School Tour, Randy Hankins, has brought some of the best sound and entertainment to the Children’s World Stage and this year’s lineup will continue to do just that, with performances by Artiistri, DJ Kiss, Mayseo The Magaician, BoomSquad, Prince of LA, KnsRocStar, and the DWA Drumline.
Not only does Children’s World offer some of the best live entertainment, it also acts as a vice to send positive messages to youth through games and education all while creating memories that will last for a lifetime.
“Hosting Children’s World at Taste of Soul not only provides Challengers Boys and Girls Club [an opportunity] to stay connected with the community that we serve but it also allows parents, staff, and former club members to reconnect with each other,” said executive director of the Challengers Boys and Girls Club, Corey Dantzler. “Many former club members that now have families stop by so that their children can have fun at Children’s World… for us it provides an opportunity to reunite and catch up with how they have grown and matured.”
Youth will also be able to enjoy an array of other hands-on activities sponsored by Plenary Infrastructure Airports.
“As a [sponsor] of the 2017 Taste of Soul Children’s World, Plenary Infrastructure Airports, a consortium bidding for the LAX Consolidated Rent-A-Car (ConRAC) facility, invites youth of all ages to have fun and learn while participating in our block building challenges and other activities throughout the day at the Children’s World,” said executive chairman of Plenary Concessions, Dale Bonner.
The TOS Children’s World sponsors believe in the importance of education for local youth and understand the need of employment opportunities.
“Taste of Soul will give children a taste of transit that will run through their neighborhoods in just a couple of years, said Phillip A. Washington, Metro’s CEO. “Your children may be our future riders but they could very well be our future employees as we expand mobility options throughout L.A. County. I encourage parents in the Crenshaw community to bring your children to see what their future holds.”
Children’s World will be located on the corner of Crenshaw and Coliseum. For more information on Taste of Soul visit www.tasteofsoul.org and download the Taste of Soul mobile app for the latest updates. See you there!
