The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) is promoting National Safety Week May 7-11 to help raise awareness of construction safety for the thousands of workers on Metro transit project sites. The national campaign includes more than 60 construction firms across the U.S. and Canada that have joined forces to offer education about construction safety.
Taste of Soul (TOS) prides itself in being a fun-filled family event by creating a space for all ages. With the help of TOS sponsors Metro and Plenary Infrastructure Airports, Bakewell Media has been able to continue providing a space for kids to let loose and have fun at the Taste of Soul Children’s World Stage hosted by the Challengers Boys and Girls Club Saturday, October 21.
The buses are currently powered by compressed natural gas, which is far cleaner than diesel but is still a fossil fuel.
The program is currently being finalized by Metro and local leaders in education and workforce development
