The world famous Laugh Factory and the 2016 WNBA Champion Los Angeles Sparks are announcing a partnership that covers action both on and off the court and stage.
Both organizations will allow admission to their events with a ticket stub from the other organization’s 2017 past events. The Laugh Factory will be producing in-game content for the Sparks and fans will be seeing comedians in attendance throughout the 2017 season. The Sparks will also host a charity comedian’s basketball game at the Staples Center, tentatively scheduled for April 22, which will be broadcast live and on social media. The game will feature some of the biggest names in comedy.
“I’m excited to partner with the LA Sparks,” said Steve Hofstetter, Executive Vice President of Television and Film of Laugh Factory Productions. “The Sparks have consistently been one of the top franchises in the WNBA and their players have been excellent role models for the children of Los Angeles and beyond.”
The Sparks will also become the presenting sponsor of the live stand-up show “Comedy Realness.” “Comedy Realness,” one of the Laugh Factory’s most popular shows, is live every month at the club’s Hollywood and Long Beach locations and honors the long tradition of women and LGBT comedy.
“The Laugh Factory is an international icon and a staple in the Los Angeles community,” said Christine Simmons, President & COO of the LA Sparks. “As the reigning WNBA champions, the LA Sparks are excited to continue the momentum, bringing our fans new experiences and entertaining, fresh content.”
After making a reservation at ComedyRSVP.com, fans will be able to present their 2017 Sparks ticket stub at the Laugh Factory box office for complimentary admission. Laugh Factory attendees will be able to receive a complimentary Sparks ticket with the purchase of a 2017 Laugh Factory show.
