Senior outside hitter Cheyenne Francis helped the Dorsey volleyball team create a contending season. The Dons had a 10-5 overall record, earning a fourth seed in the division V playoffs.
Junior outside hitter Mickayla Sherman was named the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Newcomer of the Year and was named on the All-CCAA Second Team.
Dorsey senior Shanna Fulton is never too busy to lend a helping hand to classmates. Fulton has found success playing volleyball and tennis for the Dons while being a dedicated student.
Her passion for having good grades and being competitive in volleyball helps her balance the challenges of being a student and an athlete.
Middle blocker Daisy Crenshaw has helped the Cal State Los Angeles Golden Eagles women’s volleyball team to a 15-12 overall record and a 10-7 record in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA).
Despite the position change, Salone has been able to keep the Matadors competitive throughout the season.
Sophomore middle blocker Melissa Eaglin is a Cal State Northridge Matador who rose above injury to have a strong performance during her freshmen year.
Junior outside hitter Aeryn Owens is an elite competitor not only at Cal State Northridge but also in the Big West Conference. As a sophomore, Owens has earned All-Big West First Team honors. Currently, Owens averages 5.06 points, 4.56 kills, and 2.44 digs per set. With 401 kills this season, she is the leader of kills on the team and the Big West as of October 29. Her kills per set average rank her third in the Big West. In digs, Owens comes in second for the Matadors with 215. She scored a season-high of 33.5 points and five blocks
Senior Nickeisha Williams is an outside hitter for the Cal State Northridge Matadors, aiding them with their 4-2 record in Big West play.
Cornelius will enter her junior year as team co-captain for the 2017 season.
