View Park Softball Started First Season

The View Park Knights softball team started their inaugural season this March. During their first game, two-time softball Olympian Natasha Watley threw the first pitch and was honored with a plaque by the school. “It’s very, very good to see that we have two schools are out here in the inner city–Dorsey, View Park—and we have the girls out here competing, playing and having fun,” said View Park Athletic Director Robert Ambers. High School Athlete Gains National Attention for Rugby

View Park Rugby player Nia Toliver has received the title High School Athlete of the Month by Sports Illustrated. Representatives from the US Marines and members of the men’s and women’s Rugby national team attended a special ceremony for Toliver at the campus of View Park Preparatory Accelerated Charter High School on Friday, November 13. Toliver’s mastery of Rugby has given her numerous accolades and camp invitations. View Park Train for New Season After Playoffs Run

Guard Antoine Jenkins and center K’Lon Williams helped the View Park Knights boys’ basketball team reach the division IV City and State Playoffs during the 2014-2015 season. Both players will return this season as co-captains of the Knights. Taste of Soul Scholarships are awarded for outstanding community service in the areas of education, healthcare, domestic violence prevention or sustainability.
