The South Coast Air Quality Management District’s Refinery Committee today directed agency staff to develop a regulation by May 2019 to better mitigate the risk from – or possibly phase out — the use of a highly toxic chemical used at two Southland refineries.

He was shot six times, and might have survived some of the shots, but was fatally wounded when he was shot in the head. Wilson claimed he shot in self-defense, but Michael Brown was unarmed. St. Louis County prosecutor Bob McCulloch took his time convening a grand jury and announced in November 2014, three months after Brown’s murder, that the grand jury voted not to indict Wilson.

On May 23, 2018, a U.S. Border Patrol agent shot and killed Ms. Gómez, an immigrant from Guatemala. The Border Patrol also detained three other Guatemalan immigrants at the scene of the shooting. Subsequently, the Border Patrol changed their statement about the circumstances leading up to this fatal shooting.
Medina also was convicted of one count of arson of an inhabited structure, two counts of first-degree burglary and one count of animal cruelty. Sentencing is set for July 20 when Medina faces life in state prison without the possibility of parole.
