Local Health Providers Offer Free Medical Services at Taste of Soul 

  Community health matters at the 19th Annual Taste of Soul Family Festival. On Saturday, October 19, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., guests can receive free top medical assistance for flu shots, glucose tests, blood pressure checks, and more. First aid cooling stations will be available for medical and safety issues throughout the festival. Free services from Kaiser Permanente, Watts Health, MLK Community Healthcare, UCLA Health, American Heart Association AHA, Charles R. Drew University, and Cedars-Sinai will inform residents and answer their questions about any concerning areas regarding their health. The 18th annual Taste of Soul took over Crenshaw Boulevard this past Saturday, October 21st. Hundreds of thousands of people walked, danced, ate, and mingled their way from Stocker Street to Obama Boulevard. There were many attractions and plenty of food vendors to indulge in, leaving people full, happy, and excited for the day’s festivities.
