The 8th annual Los Angeles Construction and Associated Careers Awareness Day took place on the Los Angeles Trade-Technical College campus, giving more than 1500 high school students a chance to view career-technical programs up close on the community college campus in South LA.

Wal-Mart in Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza will be closing on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016. The super chain store announced to it’s workers the morning of Jan. 15 that they will be closing 48 hours before it’s closure. Store officials stated they will help employees find further employment, if possible.

The Los Angeles Superior Court lawsuit names as a defendant AllenCo Energy Inc., which in July 2014 agreed to pay a $99,000 penalty for violations of federal environmental laws.
