To help congregants make informed decisions during the Nov. 5 election, the Social Action Committee of Ward AME Church, under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. Barry Settle, senior pastor, hosted a session outlining the pros and cons of state and local ballot measures and propositions.

Amend SB 793, Now!

I am concerned about SB 793 as written. Clearly, we need to be concerned about the growing use of tobacco products among our children and young people. As a retired track and field athlete, specifically, the 400 meters, I am personally opposed to all types of smoking.
