Sauls Receives LACHC’s Spirit of Healing Award

The Los Angeles Christian Health Centers held its 2018 Spirit of Healing Gala on April 28, at the historic Millennium Biltmore Hotel. The honorees included the Rev. Kelvin Sauls, pastor of Holman United Methodist Church in Los Angeles and widely recognized spiritual, community and social justice leader. The Spirit of Healing, which attracted close to 300 people, was an evening of inspiration, music and fundraising. This legacy event honors people from throughout Southern California who have significant positive impact on the care and advocacy for people who are marginalized or homeless. Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas; director/actor Justin Baldoni, and Karina Moreno Corgan, principal of Dolores Mission School received the 2017 Spirit of Healing Award from the Los Angeles Christian Health Centers (LACHC) on April 8. L.A. Christian Health Centers Aids the Homeless with Healthcare

An unassuming door on Winston St. in downtown L.A. opens into a range of valuable medical services for people on Skid Row. Known as the Joshua House Clinic, the facility is part of the Los Angeles Christian Health Centers (LACHC), a faith-based nonprofit that operates in many underserved areas in the city.
