Senior Arie Parker is a multi-sport athlete at King/Drew High School. Parker enrolled into King/Drew as a soccer player, but has since competed on the track and field and flag football teams.

King/Drew senior A’Nia Passmore is a dual-sport athlete, competing in track and field and flag football. Last August, Passmore was named the Maxpreps Flag Football Player of the Game for her performance against West Adams.

With six seconds left in regulation, the Hamilton Yankees girls’ basketball team was tied at 44 with the Santa Margarita Eagles in the second round of the CIF Division II State playoffs.
The King/Drew Golden Eagles boy’s and girl’s basketball teams displayed their dominance in the Coliseum League when they defeated the Dorsey Dons on Wednesday. The King/Drew girls defeated the Donnas 65-8 and the King/Drew boys bested Dorsey with a 76-42 victory.

The King/Drew Golden Eagles girl’s flag football team has been a dominant force in the Coliseum League. Their 46-0 victory over the Manual Arts Toilers marks the 10th shutout in their inaugural season.
Dorsey will play King/Drew at the Coliseum on Friday, Oct. 27, in their final game of the regular season. Similar to the Roosevelt-Garfield East LA Classic game played last year at the Coliseum with a halftime performance by Will.I.Am and the Black Eyed Peas, this matchup deemed the South LA Classic will also have a special halftime performance headlined by Warren G and Xzibit.
The King/Drew Golden Eagles baseball team routed the Dorsey Dons 20-2. The victory gives the Golden Eagles a 7-4 overall record and a 1-1 Coliseum League record.
The efforts of the King/Drew boys’ basketball team would get them Coliseum League and City Section honors. The Golden Eagles had a 16-17 overall record and became Coliseum League champions with their 9-1 League record.
The Dorsey Dons football team started Coliseum League play on a high note by thwarting the inaugural King/Drew Golden Eagles team 26-6.
