Clarkson Reaches Season High of 33 Points in Lakers’ Win

The 99-86 win against the Indiana Pacers was a comedy of errors for the Los Angeles Lakers. Six players saw no playing time and free throw shooting was at an all time low. Yet, a 33-point performance made by guard Jordan Clarkson helped give the Lakers their 16th victory of the season. Clarkson came off the bench to lead all scorers, surpassing Indiana’s leading scorer Victor Oladipo who earned 24 points. The reserve guard barely missed, shooting 14 of 19 field goals on Friday night. He also capped his game-winning effort with seven rebounds and seven assists. Forward Larry Nance

OKC Thunder Routs L.A. Lakers

After a competitive first quarter, the Lakers could not contain the Oklahoma City Thunder. The OKC led by as much as 39 points in their 133-96 victory.

Lakers Suffer Two Home Losses

Although the Lakers rookies put up a strong performance, they were not able to close out against the Portland Trailblazers on December 23 nor the Minnesota Timberwolves on December 25.
