Legendary songstress Dionne Warwick announces, “She’s Back,” first new album in five years

In addition to ten tracks of new songs as well of remakes of pop/soul gems, “She’s Back” will be packaged with a bonus disc of Ms. Warwick’s 1998 album, “Dionne Sings Dionne,” which features her greatest hits, remastered for this package. “She’s Back” also includes duets with Kenny Lattimore (“What Color Is Love”), Musiq Soulchild (“Am I Dreaming?”) as well as Bone, Thugs & Harmony’s Krayzie Bone (“Déjà Vu”).

A Special Evening with Dionne Warwick: Then Came You

The evening featured a premiere screening of the new PBS Special of multi Grammy-winning artist, Dionne Warwick, whose career has spanned over five decades. The special, My Music Presents: Dionne Warwick – Then Came You, showcases her career in song with tributes from friends and admirers, such as Gladys Knight, Barry Manilow, Smokey Robinson, and her main songwriter Burt Bacharach. In advance of the national premiere, the Paley Center welcomed Dionne for an in-person conversation with Larry King around her successful career selling over 100 million records. Clips from the Paley Archive illuminated the conversation celebrating Warwick, who is known for songs such as “I Say a Little Prayer,” “Walk On By,” and “That’s What Friends Are For.”

Convened in secret, in the private dining room of Mr. Chow’s restaurant in New York, they waited for a woman who has achieved more in her 75 years than one could with two lifetimes. Born into a talented clan of musicians on December 12, 1940, by 1962 she was one of the 40 biggest hit makers of the entire rock era.
