Sheltering our population experiencing homelessness is an urgent priority for the City. The 2020 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count, published by the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority on July 20, 2020, reported that 41,290 individuals were experiencing homelessness in the City, an increase of 16.1 percent over 2019. Of this group, 28,852 individuals are unsheltered.

Many believe that the renaming of Kobe Bryant Boulevard would be a fitting tribute to the legendary Laker along with his daughter Gianna Bryant and 7 others who were tragically killed in a helicopter crash in January of this year.

The COVID-19 SARS-CoV-2 serology antibody tests are covered under the CARES Act and will be available to the community with or without insurance starting on Tuesday, October 13 through Thursday, October 15 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Councilmember Price’s District Office (4301 S. Central Ave.)
