Michelle Matthews-Alexander of General Motors Earns NNPA 2020 National Leadership Award

On Thursday, September 17, 2020, Matthews-Alexander will receive the NNPA 2020 National Leadership Award.

Music, Carnival Rides, Food Trucks at Culver City’s Fiesta La Ballona August 24-26 2018 at Veterans Park 

Culver City’s Fiesta La Ballona will be held August 24-26, 2018 at Veterans Park which is located at 4117 Overland Avenue in Culver City. This spectacular summer festival features live performances, carnival rides and games, pony rides and petting zoo, a beer and wine garden, food trucks and a food court, vendor booths showcasing local groups and artisan wares, an aquacade at the Culver City Municipal Plunge, and an interactive sustainability information booth. The Opening Ceremony, with members of the Culver City City Council, will occur on August 24 at 6:00 p.m. in the Fiesta Entertainment Tent. The ceremony will include special performances by Ballet Folklorico de El Marino and The Actors’ Gang. NNPA, Chevrolet Launch 2018 “Discover the Unexpected” Journalism Fellowship in Detroit

Chevrolet and the National Newspaper Publishers Association (NNPA) have teamed up once again for the “Discover the Unexpected” (DTU) Journalism Fellowship program. The fellowship, in its third year, gives students attending Historically, Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) the opportunity of a lifetime: an eight-week, immersive training experience with the Black Press.
