Spectrum partners With Brotherhood Crusade to Assist The Community 

The Brotherhood Crusade announced its partnership with internet company Spectrum which includes a $50,000 donation along with laptops, a gigabyte-per-second internet service, a smartboard, and renovations. The partnership is a component of the Spectrum Community Center Assist Initiative.  

The Impact of VOCA Budget Cuts on Jenesse Center, Survivors of Domestic Violence, and the Community 

For more than four decades, Jenesse has been a cornerstone of hope and support for survivors of domestic violence, particularly within the underserved communities of South Los Angeles. Founded by five Black women 43 years ago, our organization has provided comprehensive, culturally specific programs including shelter, counseling, direct legal assistance, permanent housing support, workforce development, and healthcare advocacy to more than 1300 survivors each year. 

California Assembly Passes Reparations Resolution  

The process the California Legislative Black Caucus (CLBC) promised to initiate to pass a package of reparations bills began Feb. 26, on the Assembly floor at the State Capitol with the passage of Assembly Concurrent Resolution (ACR) 135.
