“These outstanding individuals exemplify resilience, love, commitment, and leadership within their families. They are true unsung heroes in our society.”

The HUF Awards will recognize fathers in five categories: Single Father (Solo Warrior), Married Father (Love Cares), Divorced Father (Fatherhood Forever), non-biological father (Village Dad), and role model elderly father (Living Legacy). Nominations for the awards come from community members such as spouses, children, parents, and colleagues.

In addition to honoring nominated fathers, Greg Dulan of Dulan’s Restaurant will receive the 2024 Founders Award and Justin Castillo of Javelin Advisory will be presented with the 2024 Board of Directors Award.

The event will feature performances by award-winning jazz saxophonist Michael Phillips and Grammy-winning gospel artist Donnie McClurkin. Honorary Co-Chair Judge Craig Strong will be in attendance alongside host comedian George Wallace.

Proceeds from ticket sales will go towards funding college scholarships for talented students from disadvantaged urban communities who have shown academic excellence, yet lack financial resources to pursue higher education.

“We are dedicated to empowering young minds through education,” said Judge Mablean. “By providing scholarships to deserving students, we are investing in future leaders who will make a positive impact on their communities.”
