Crenshaw High School Student-run Cheesecake Business
By Sentinel News Service
Published July 2, 2010

The Crenshaw High School (CHS) student business “TastE” Cakes has landed the cheesecakes at the Crenshaw & Coliseum Starbucks store. The Starbucks connection started with the relationship between Starbucks Chairman Howard Schultz and League President Blair Taylor. On his first visit to LA Urban League, Taylor took Schultz on a tour of CHS. During the tour they met with the student entrepreneur class of which the TastE Cakes founders are a part.

The instructor at Crenshaw who works with the students is Maynard Brown.
