James Day (#6) Sr. RB gave his thoughts on the game. “We made plays and made tackle. I should have made more plays and did more, but we won. Next week, we play Vista Murrieta, and that’s important,” he said. Day plans to attend college on a football scholarship. I want to make good grades and go to college. USC because my parents went there.” Days says Crenshaw deserves another championship banner. (E. Mesiyah McGinnis/L.A. Sentinel)
Noel Grisby, receiver’s coach and co-offensive coordinator, talked about scoring 49 points. “We had a good game. Our guys work hard and their experience is paying off. The goal of the receivers is to catch everything. That may not always happen but they go after it and today is a great example of our potential. We put up 49 points, the most this season. Our goal is to score 30 and with a defense as good as ours, we like our chances this season.” (E. Mesiyah McGinnis/L.A. Sentinel)
Sr. Cheerleader, Thamar Scipio talked about the importance of Cheering. “We help players by inspiring and encouraging them to do better. We also help the fans to stay into the game,” she said. According to Thamar, Cheer Coach Domonique Williams helps create routines that they enjoy. “It’s fun doing something positive for people that we love doing.” (E. Mesiyah McGinnis/L.A. Sentinel)
Rayshawn Williams (#1) Sr. WR 6’4 190, talked about his TD catches and the team’s future. “That’s all it is … it’s about making plays. It’s team win and that’s what’s important to me,” he said. Williams, who came up in the Snoop League, has dreams of playing for a division one university. (E. Mesiyah McGinnis/L.A. Sentinel)
