One of the most important ingredients to guarantee a successful Los Angeles Sentinel Taste of Soul Family Festival is of course the food, but the other is the music. And it cannot be just any music — it must be music that feeds the soul.
South L.A.’s premiere outdoor event returns – live and in-person -with the 17th Annual Taste of Soul Family Festival on Saturday, Oct. 15, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., along Crenshaw Blvd., from Obama Blvd. to Stocker Ave.
MCXI Candles will be making their debut as a new vendor at this year’s Taste of Soul on October 15. They will be selling Massage oil candles, intimate accessories, books, mugs, and T-shirt at their booth located on Crenshaw Blvd., in Los Angeles, California.
The Southern California Gas Company has participated in the Taste of Soul since its inception in 2005. This year it returns as the festival’s premier sponsor, culminating 17 years of partnership to provide cultural enrichment and community service.
Coming up at Taste of Soul, Bakewell Media’s Music Stage, “Music for the Soul,” sponsored by Chevy, will delight audiences with legendary soul groups Troop, Lakeside featuring Mark Wood, and Midnight Star, while showcasing exciting local acts in the realms of dance, hip-hop and R&B. Non-stop topnotch musical entertainment will add to Taste of Soul’s signature spirit of merriment, providing attendees with good vibes and great opportunities to dance during the family-friendly festival on October 15.
102.3 KJLH and Taste of Soul are partnering again to heat up the October 15th festival’s music stage. Major acts such as Kenny Lattimore and Ruff Endz will grace the music stage along with a host of exciting local performers and KJLH’s beloved on-air personalities.

Coming up at Taste of Soul, on October 15, Bakewell Media Presents Digital World sponsored by Microsoft and powered by TecLeimert. Microsoft is making good on promises set forth in 2020 to address racial injustice by partnering with these key organizations to bridge the digital divide.
Children’s World returns to Taste of Soul, October 15, featuring a dynamic array of youth performances. The stage will be produced by The School Tour creator, Randy Hankins, who has been presenting entertainment acts at the festival for 14 years. Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, the stage’s sponsor, will spotlight their upcoming family-friendly programs at the festival as well.
