Holman United Methodist Church presents a Caregiver Workshop for Men each Thursday at 6:30 p.m., through Sept. 19, at 3320 W. Adams Blvd., in Los Angeles, said Pastor Paul Hill. Attendees will receive instruction on caring for people with Alzheimer’s and other health conditions.

Yes We Can Worship Center and McCoy Memorial Baptist Church welcomes donations for their Homeless Party on Sept. 7, at 802 East 46th St., in Los Angeles, said Pastors Sherman D. Manning and R.A. Williams. The churches are sponsoring the event to assist people affected by homelessness. Donations such as toiletries, clothing, school supplies, gift cards and financial contributions are welcome. West Angeles Church of God in Christ hosts Movie Night at the Cathedral on Aug. 16, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., at 3600 S.
