Dr. Judith Christie McAllister, affectionately known in the African American church and around the world as “The Queen of Praise & Worship,” recently celebrated her 60th birthday, over 40 years in music ministry, and the release of her newest book, “Mom & Pop.” M.O.M. is an acronym for minister of music, and P.O.P. is an acronym for pastor of the people.

An unsung shero of Los Angeles City is Dr. Belinda Allen, the executive director of the West Angeles Community Development Corporation (WACDC) and vice president of the Los Angeles Affordable Housing Commissioners. She leads the largest African American faith-based community development corporation in America.

After 53 years of heading one of the largest congregations in Los Angeles, Bishop Charles and Lady Mae Blake are stepping down as spiritual leaders and will pass the mantle to their son, current Co-pastor and Pastoral Designee Elder Charles Blake II, and his wife, Lady DeAndra Blake.
