Congresswoman Janice Hahn (CA-44) sent letters to each of the major carriers involved in an ongoing dispute over airing Dodgers baseball games on television in the Los Angeles area. Her letters to Charter, AT&T, Dish Network, Frontier, and Cox, come just days after an announcement that KTLA will air six of Vin Scully’s last games before his retirement.

Congresswoman Hahn has released the following statement:

“Dodger fans across Los Angeles are celebrating the news that they will again be able to watch their favorite team on television—if but for a short while.  The KTLA agreement is welcome news and the least we could do for the legendary Vin Scully.

However— this not the end of the Dodgers blackout that has dragged on for years and kept millions of Angelenos from watching their team. I appreciate that Charter and the other major television carriers have met with me several times over the last year to discuss finding a solution.

This KTLA agreement should not be the end of talks, but the beginning of new ones. I am encouraging all sides to remain at the table and end this season strong– with a solution worthy of Vin Scully and his loyal fans.”
