Tuesday, charges have been filed against three men for the killing of 19 year old Tavin Price who was killed over wearing red shoes in late May.
The police have identified Dwight Smith, 30, and Kevin Johnson, 25 and Kanasho Johns 27.
According to a Los Angeles Times article, Antheyst Jarrett, 27, who was arrested the same day of the murder, is being charged with “witness intimidation and conspiracy to commit murder in connection with the shooting.”
Assemblymember Mike A. Gipson released a statement in regards to the suspects of the Price murder:
“The apprehension of four suspects in the murder of Tavin Price was bittersweet. The prayers of his mother, Jennifer Rivers, were answered and brought some measure of closure, but the devastating pain of losing her son remains. It’s unthinkable that a pair of red shoes was worth the life of this 19-year-old mentally disabled young man. My family and I will continue to hold Tavin’s mother and her family in prayer.”

“A lot of the family is going to be there and we are going to where red to the courthouse,” said Cashimier Smith.
