The Pentecostal Holy Spirit will be present at the three-day revival at Transfiguration Catholic Church on Friday, May 22, through Sunday, May 24, at 2515 West Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., in Los Angeles.
The services start on Friday, at 12 p.m., with the Eucharistic Adoration and end with the revival at 6 p.m. On Saturday, the Hall Gathering will be at 8:30 a.m., the revival at 9 a.m., and Mass at 5:15 p.m. The revival ends with Sunday Masses at 10 a.m., and 12:15 p.m.
“The planned services will arouse, stimulate and put into practice true Christian faith and blessings for all who attend these services,” declared Deacon Mark Anthony Race, the church’s administrator and revivalist.
“The revival is a way to acknowledge that the love of God, the Father, and our Savior, Jesus, is contained in the Holy Spirit which lives within us. The Holy Spirit is love, and as Jesus said, ‘Love each other as I have loved you.’ Hopefully, this love will spread throughout the community,” said the Deacon.
Deacon Race was educated for eight years as Deacon Formation, and ordained at Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in 2007. Previously, he was a deacon at St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
He and his wife, Vickie, head ‘Servants of the Holy Spirit,’ an organization where members visit, pray for, and lay hands on the sick in hospitals and private homes. In addition, he and his wife are founders of a Catholic Charity Missionary that works worldwide for a cancer cure.
Refreshments will be available at each worship and a complimentary meal will be served on Friday. To learn more, call (323) 291-1136.
