Wright Appointed to State Medical Board

 

Governor Jerry Brown appointed Culver City resident Jamie Wright, Esq., to the Medical Board of California on August 21.

Currently the principal of the Law Offices of Jamie Wright, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC), Southern California as well as the Culver City representative for the LAX Advisory Committee.

Wright earned her B.A. degree at the University of California – Berkeley and graduated from University of California, Hastings College of the Law with a J.D. At the age of 19, she was appointed a Commissioner for city of Berkeley Peace and Justice Commission.

While in Law School, Wright was a Federal Judicial Extern for the Honorable Martin J. Jenkins, and won second overall mediator in the National Mediation Competition in Chicago, Illinois.

A native of Los Angeles, Wright is the daughter of Pastor James and Lady Juanita Wright, spiritual leaders of Rightway Baptist Church in Los Angeles.
