The choir of Transfiguration Catholic Church is on the fast track of rehearsals as its members prepare for their upcoming Annual Christmas Concert to be held on Sunday, December 16 at 7 p.m., at 2515 West Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard in Los Angeles.

According to Choir Director Oscar Pratt, this year’s performance promises to be most inspiring because the theme is based on the true meaning of Christmas which is to celebrate the birth of Christ, our Savior, and not particularly the commercialization of the season.

“We seem to forget or misunderstand that the birth of Jesus was the beginning of the salvation of mankind. Our presentation this year is intended to invite everyone to get involved with the spirit of Christmas by putting Jesus back into it,” Pratt stated.

Included in the program will be the children’s choir which consists of students from Transfiguration’s school. Noted for their exceptional talent, they will feature traditional Christmas carols performed in unique fashion.

Ticket information is available by calling the church’s office at (323) 291-1136.
