You are cordially invited to join Egyptian Court No. 5, Daughters of Isis as they embark on celebrating 100 years of charitable and community service.
Egyptian Court was organized April 20, 1909 as an auxiliary of the Prince Hall Shriners.
The court like its affiliate is a benevolent and charitable organization knit together in a common bond of fraternal friendship. The national organization, the Imperial Court Daughters of Isis, consists of more than 200 courts in the continental United States, Europe, Canada, Bahamas and Okinawa.
Illustrious Commandress Dt. Meredith Bell is the official host for the event.
Egyptian Court awards scholarships annually to deserving young women to aid in their college education expense.
Our focus is on youth because we realize that they are our future. Our youth program for young girls ages 10-17 provides an avenue for participation in the building of self esteem, character, and good citizenship. Additionally, the court provides funds for donations to community and charitable organizations such as the American Red Cross, American Cancer Society, NAACP, Children's Hospital, Foundation of the Jr. Blind, Caring for babies with AIDS, Homeless and Batter Women programs to name a few.
A gala affair is scheduled for the weekend of April 17 – 19, with a commemorative dinner on the evening of Saturday, April 18, at the Manhattan Beach Marriott, 1400 Parkview Avenue, Manhattan Beach, Calif. The Imperial Commandress, Dt. Iris L. Moore will be traveling from New Orleans, LA to join them for this gala affair.
