Sometimes one song can change an artist’s life forever. Such is the case for musician David Redic. His original song “Season Of Change,” which about Presidential candidate Barrack Obama, has sent him all across the United States of America, including this year’s Democratic National Convention. Not bad for this singer, writer and visual artist.

Redic, who is originally a Southside Chicago native, relocated to Los Angeles 6 years ago, after graduating from Morehouse College. “I felt that Los Angeles was a place for me to cultivate my talent and I was 100% right.”

Upon his arrival in Los Angeles, he began gathering acting credits to his name, guest starring and appearing in film, television, stage, commercials, magazine and book covers. One of his first acting jobs was on fellow Chicago native the late Bernie Mac’s television show. “I was absolutely thrilled to work with Mr. Mac, it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. He was truly talented.”

In 2002, Redic launched his first artistic Redic Thrones collection titled “Ruby in the Rumble/The Dream Series.” The collection was launched in Atlanta and was collected pieces from his “Tangible Collection,” which were crafted by Redic. Since then, Redic’s artwork has appeared in Seyhoune Gallery, Dale Youngman Gallery and Lucy Florence Coffeehouse.

Last year, Redic began hearing more about Obama, the senator from his hometown of Chicago. “I was familiar with Senator Obama, through my family in Chicago. They told me about a new senator in Chicago that was a real mover and shaker. So I did research and found out all that I could about Obama, before his presidential bid.” Stated Redic.

In February, during Barrack Obama official announcement of his candidacy for president of the United States, Redic became inspired to write the song “Season of Change.” "I became really inspired that a man that looks like me and has the same feelings could go this far. I also really loved what he stood for, which is the change that we all need. The more I became award of the times that we live in, the more that the lyrics came to me. Every great movement needs a song.”

Redic debuted his song for friends, “They loved it and said that I should do something with it, so I did and here I am.”

Redic has high hopes for this song “I hope that this song reaches all of Obama’s supporters and let them k now that a Change is really come and no one will be able to stop it.”
