Glow + Flow Beauty Supply is officially open for business, launching its newest destination for beauty lovers and explorers. The retail boutique sponsored its grand opening week from May 21-26 at its second location located at 4361 West Rosecrans Ave., in Hawthorne.

Glow + Flow Beauty is a chain of beauty supply stores and hosted a series of daily experiences featuring industry giants from the world of cosmetics, wellness, hairstyling, entrepreneurial success and those aiming to reimagine the shopping experience for women.

Glow + Flow is the brainchild of luxury maven, TV host, fashionista and wedding designer Diann Valentine, 53, of Baldwin Hills who ventured into the beauty retail space with Glow + Flow Beauty’s original location in Inglewood in 2019. Valentine launched a synthetic hair brand SLAYYY Hair in 2023 expanding into national distribution through partnerships with TJ Maxx and Marshalls.

“When Black and Brown women shop for their beauty products, they should be able to shop in an environment that is warm, inviting, fun, and that makes them feel like they’re coming home,” Valentine told the L.A. Sentinel.

Kim Baker, 55, Somerset, New Jersey is the founder of Glamazon Beauty Cosmetics and joined the grand opening providing a Master Class on makeup application for guests after two years of product development. The celebrity makeup artist recognizes the significance of being a supplier to a beauty supply chain owned by a Black, woman owned store.

“Representation is everything,” she explained. “I have products for everyone, but my sole focus was particularly on women of color, because many times people just didn’t get our undertones and our shades right.

“I did this with 12 shades of foundation that I blend out to, that blends out to over 144 variants of skin tone. This line is very simplistic and easy to use,” she added. Her products are also sold on television network HSN and digital retailer ShopHQ.

Glow + Flow’s grand opening week also featured master classes by Beauty Founders and Celebrity Stylists, product demonstrations, collaborations with influencers and celebrities as well as support from businesses and organizations.
