On Sunday, December 3, 2023, believers from 13 churches proudly marched down the streets of San Pedro during its annual “Holiday Parade.” Thousands of attendees were reminded and hundreds were taught that Christmas celebrates Jesus. Without Jesus, there would be no Christmas.

Who are these believers? They are pastors, ministers, Sunday School teachers, Bible Study teachers, Evangelism directors, deacons, elders, Stewardesses, young adults, youth, children, elementary school principal, nurse practitioner, academic financial aid specialist, lawyer, medical caregivers, licensed clinical social workers, LAUSD parent resource liaison, fast food manager, architect, medical provider contract specialist, retired accountant, and community activist.

The believers are members of the following ministries: Amos Memorial CME, Angeles Mesa Presbyterian, Atherton Baptist, Brown Temple CME, Calvary Chapel Downey, Calvary Chapel Signal Hill, Calvary Chapel South Bay, Emmanuel Temple CME, Gangsters for Christ, Hays Tabernacle CME, Cottonwood, Mary Star of the Sea, and Mount Moriah Baptist.

“We love God and are united for the cause of Jesus the Christ,” said one member. “Although we are multidenominational, and attend multiple churches, we give honor to one God. No one church is more important than the other, for there are no denominations in heaven.

“We welcome God’s children who also desire to spread ‘The Good News.’  We are called the “Jesus Movement Christian Coalition.”
