Windy City Entertainment Inc. presents the 2nd Annual San Pedro Music Festivalon Sunday, July 31, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the 1500-seat, art-deco historic Warner Grand Theatre, located at 478 W 6th St., in San Pedro.
The exciting lineup includes a tribute to Stevie Wonder by his backing ensemble WonderLove.
Other performances will feature international jazz/soul singing sensation Windy Barnes, local favorite alternative pop duo The Habits; Victor Orlando & Fun-Ja-La, Resurrection Road, Wylde Bunch, AnDre Washington, Heru Yahli and many more. The emcee will be Broadway, film and television star, Roz Ryan.
According to the orgnizers, local vendors will present eye-popping merch and local restaurants and food trucks will offer tasty bites during intermissions. Also, a VIP reception takes place from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., with music by the Dynamic Duo along with a silent auction, fun raffles, and the “Purple Carpet” filled with celebrity sightings.
“It’s the perfect time to honor our planet and our ancestors as we celebrate professional musicians for their dedication to healing the earth through their musical gifts and talents,” said Windy Barnes Farrell.
“We are back and thrilled to safely offer a music festival that represents the demographic makeup of San Pedro and brings all ages together in a fun and meaningful way.”
Sponsors are L.A. County Supervisor Janice Hahn and Windy City Entertainment Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Proceeds will support WCE’s Heal My Family Program.
“Our main purpose is to assist families with grief counseling, food and funeral expenses after the loss of a loved one due to gun and gang violence in San Pedro and the greater Los Angeles area,” said Farrell, founder and president.
