Glover and LeVetta Holloway of San Pedro, Californa and Mark Jenkins of Long Beach, Californa happily announce the engagement of their daughter Hope Laneta Jenkins to Darrell Emerson Smith, Jr. son of Antoinette Williams of Oxon Hill, Maryland and Darrell Smith, Sr. of Washington, District of Columbia.
Hope, is the granddaughter of Laneta Joyce Hill of Belton, Texas and the late Reverend Dr. William M. Hill, former Pastor of Inglewood First United Methodist Church. Darrell is the nephew of Raymond and Linda Roberts of Fort Washington, Maryland and Larry Williams of Washington, District of Columbia.
Hope and Darrell are “College Sweethearts” who met in their freshman year in 2011. Hope graduated magna cum laude from Howard University in Washington, D.C. and is currently a Doctoral Candidate at Howard. Darrell, is also a graduate of Howard University, where he received his degree in Electrical Engineering. He is currently a Law Enforcement Officer in the Metropolitan Transit Police Department.
The Couple’s nuptial will take place September 30, 2022 in Washington, DC.
