Kasey Branden Crews was the first of two children born to his mother Kim Warren, and the only child of his father, Keith Crews. He was born in Los Angeles, California, on October 2, 1981.

Kasey picked up his first tennis racket at 6-years-old and continued playing throughout high school, becoming the number one varsity player at Hamilton High. You can find his name on the board in the high school gym. Kasey continued playing throughout college and spent time coaching other players at a tennis center in Beverly Hills. When he retired from playing tournaments all over Southern California, he watched the sport with his family on television and in-person. He knew all of the players and all the rules.

In high school, he was voted the most popular and best dressed. He kept that sense of style throughout his life. He loved buying a seasonal wardrobe.

Kasey was extremely gifted; he could sing, write music, act, and dance. When he wasn’t on the court playing tennis, you could find him listening to the latest hits from his all-time favorite artist, Mariah Carey and encouraging his younger sister, Kimberlee to dance on the table. Kasey had a variety of music tastes; He is the only person we know who listened to Mariah Carey and Juvenile.

Kasey had a smile and a laugh like his father that was contagious. He was the best son and the best big brother. When his mother was pregnant with his sister, he sang to her stomach and chose his sister’s name and spelling.

His favorite food was seafood and pie, and his favorite color was red. He loved celebrating Christmas, Thanksgiving, and birthdays.

Kasey was preceded in death by his father, Keith, grandfather Charles Crews, and grandmothers, Marilyn Crews and Shirley Evans. He is survived by his mother Kim and sister, Kimberlee Hayes, and many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Kasey was 39-years-old. He was loved dearly and will be missed by all who were in touched by his life.
