Music Mogul, philanthropist, Percy (Master P) Miller and his family continue to celebrate the city of Compton, kicking off the holiday season of sharing. The Miller family in their twenty-first year of giving, touched the people this past thanksgiving with a celebration of fellowship and love.
The Millers spent the Tuesday afternoon before Thanksgiving with its annual dinner and turkey giveaway. Joining this year with the brothers of Omega Psi Phi and Mayor Aja Brown in Compton, the collective gave away eight hundred turkeys and feed over five hundred people. The people came together in Compton for a turkey to take home and they were able to feast on a hot meal and fellowship. In addition, Miller gave away Monyatti shoes, shirts and hats to the first few hundred that were on hand. Monyatti, is Millers own luxury line of shoes and clothing.
Miller has taught his children the importance of giving back. “I want my children to understand that when you are blessed with so much, you must do your part and giveback, it is our responsibility to help those who need help and celebrating the community with food and love and giving. The more we make, the more we give. We love our people. Coming out to the community is a joyful way to kick off the holidays,” says Miller.
“My dad has always taught us the importance of giving back, ever since I was a child, we have gone back to the community and shared whatever we could, it’s a wonderful way to show love and support to those who are less fortunate than us,” said Romeo Miller. “There are those who may send money but what makes it special to us, we touch and spend time with our people,” continued Romeo.
