On Friday, December 14, Bank of America presented a $25,000 grant to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) to assist households earning less than 120 percent of the area median income, who are most at-risk and in need of assistance. Habitat LA will use the funds to continue construction on ten homes currently under construction on Globe Avenue in Culver City.
On hand to accept the check were Erin Rank, President and CEO of Habitat LA; Jennifer Wise, Sr. VP of Resource Development for Habitat LA; and Partner Homeowners, The Mulvihills and David Snyder (also a Veteran.)
The Globe Avenue development has been many years in the making in partnership with Culver City, as the property was donated by the city of Culver City to Habitat LA specifically for the purpose of building affordable housing. The future homeowners who have been selected currently live and/or work in Culver City. The site, which includes six single-family homes and two duplexes, is scheduled for completion by the end of 2019
