Senator Harris today slammed Kavanaugh’s confirmation process and suggested Kavanaugh will prioritize Trump’s agenda over Americans.
Senator Harris: “‘I’m concerned his loyalty will be to the president who appointed him,’ and not to the people of the United States, Harris said.”
Harris told of the impact the Supreme Court has had on her own life, pointing to the Brown v. Board of Education decision.

Senator Harris: “So for me, a Supreme Court seat is not only about academic issues of legal precedent or judicial philosophy. It is personal. When we talk about our nation’s highest court and the men and women who sit on it, we’re talking about the impact that one individual on that court can have, impact on people you’ll never meet and whose names you’ll never know.”
Harris continued to call on Senate Republicans to delay Kavanaugh’s hearing. Harris earlier said that “we cannot possibly move forward” until senators had time to review the 42,000 new records that were released just last night.
“Mr. Chairman, I would like to be recognized to ask a question before we proceed. The committee received just last night – less than 15 hours ago – thousands of documents that we have not had a chance to read or review or analyze. We cannot possibly move forward.” pic.twitter.com/IWSeM6AtNx
