Dr. Dick Gregory was the most brilliant from fine mind that I have ever experienced. Approachable and kind, a fighter against injustice for the oppressed. I count it an esteemed honor to have met him and have him receive me as a prayer warrior, prophet and dearest friend. He stuck his neck out against child abuse, drugs, racism, sexism, poverty and violence for God’s human race in a non-violent way and taught me how.
For decades, I was blessed to have him share his wit and wisdom at my church in Los Angeles, formerly Family Christian Cathedral, and the Cherishing the Children’s Memorials for the 305 innocent children who were killed in Jonestown.
He made us laugh out loud at critical points in history to wake us up! Humanitarian for the oppressed of all walks of life….his soul changed this planet. Thank you for your selfless life! I watched his impact empower the richest and the poorest. God blessed me to have him mentor, encourage and support my efforts over the years and his common sense truths, courage and unwavering faith in God will never be forgotten!

I counted it a great honor and privilege to be considered as a friend and student of Dick Gregory. I am extremely thankful and grateful that he thought and respected me enough to be his physician over the years. He was a mentor and a father to me throughout my career and development. He remains an Icon to all people of goodwill. He will live on in our hearts and our minds forever. Rest in peace my good friend, father brother mentor.
