The Right Reverend Charles E. Blake Sr., presiding bishop emeritus of the Church of God in Christ (COGIC), the largest Black Christian denomination in the country with a membership of 6.5 million, and an international statesman and humanitarian, has been named to the National Advisory Panel of The PuLSE Institute (Institute for Public Leadership and Social Equity), a national anti-poverty think tank headquartered in Detroit. Pemberton Takes God with Her While Pursuing Singing Career

Jubilation filled the air as Bishop Charles and First Lady Mae Blake simultaneously celebrated their 51st pastoral anniversary and burned the $65 million mortgage on the West Angeles Cathedral. Without basketball, Magic Johnson shifts focus to community

Magic Johnson might actually miss the Los Angeles Lakers if he wasn’t always checking up on them.
