Casa de Rosas Opens to Housing Homeless Veterans

On Thursday, March 30, local leaders, collaborators and elected officials joined in a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of Casa de Rosas, a newly renovated, award-winning, historic campus developed for formerly, homeless veterans.

WEDC’s Casa de Rosas Opens Doors for Veterans Again and Again

Casa de Rosas, the expansive, new housing community led by Ward Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), held its third open house for Los Angeles veterans seeking long-term affordable housing on Thursday, July 21 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Located at 2600 Hoover Street, the 36-unit property is tucked between the Adams-Normandie and Historic South Central neighborhoods, just down the street from USC and Exposition Park.

Casa De Rosas Opens to Serve Unhoused Veterans

Unhoused and single-parent veterans can enjoy a wide range of amenities at Casa de Rosas, a 36-unit development comprised of 15 studios, 19 one-bedroom and two two-bedroom apartments.

Bishop Frank Madison Reid III will preach at the Christmas Day Worship on December 25, at 10 a.m., at Ward AME Church, 1177 W. 25th Street in Los Angeles. Ward EDC and Integral Partner to redevelop Casa De Rosas to Serve Veterans

Ward Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) has partnered with Integral to transform the historic Casa de Rosas into a campus for homeless single-parent veterans. During a Ground Blessing Ceremony ceremony on August 22, WEDC and Integral staff joined with clergy, elected officials and community leaders to invoke God’s guidance as prepare to redevelop the 29,900 square feet complex into permanent housing with a range of onsite, supportive services. The ceremony featured prayers of thanksgiving and encouragement by the Rev.
