Sophomore Quinndon Allen is a member of the Los Angeles Romans football team’s young core. Allen has the ability to gain yards through catches and rushes as well as stop the run on defense.
UCLA senior running back Joshua Kelley leads the Bruins football team with 101 carries for 415 and three touchdowns so far this season. He’s a hard-working athlete who is slow to promote himself but quick to boast the talents of his teammates.

One of the leaders of the USC Trojan football team this year is senior defensive lineman Christian Rector. After the Trojan’s went 5-7 last season, he’s ready to better the program and qualify for a bowl game this year. “That’s why I came back, to change the narrative and flip the script and not leave on that note,” Rector said. He currently is on the Lott IMPACT Trophy watchlist, the trophy is given to a defensive player who shows athletic prowess and personal character. Senior track and field standout Ameer Muhammad helped the Crenshaw boys track and field team qualify for the State championship. He ran a leg for the 4×100 relay squad who had been successful throughout track season. Muhammad competed in the 100m dash, the 200m dash, and the 4x100m during the CIF State championship.

Tara Moore is a passionate soccer player and is a leader at LACES Middle School. With a 4.0 GPA, she was valedictorian of her class and spoke at her eighth-grade graduation this month. Moore competes in four different soccer teams, including LACES Beyond the Bell Soccer team and on her AYSO United LA Club Team in South Los Angeles. The players on her club team have been playing together since Moore was 10 years old. Her club team went undefeated in the AYSO and become a club team. “They started us at a ranking called Silver League, we were playing
Senior Udochukwu Ebiriekwe has become a prominent figure at Crenshaw High School. Along with being a multi-sport athlete, he is the ASB Vice President and a member of the sports injury prevention program Team Heal.
Dorsey senior Jaidin LaCount has been playing on the varsity girls basketball team for four years. She helped the team put on a contending campaign this past season with a 16-7 overall record. The Dons also won the Coliseum League title with an 8-0 League record. After averaging 9.1 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.2 steals per game this season, LaCount was named on the 2019 All-City Division II team. “This team is much closer than the previous year,” LaCount said. “We win games more simply because we have a better connection with each other.” LaCount noted how playing in the
Carson Colts sophomore Jason Bell makes the Colts frosh/soft track and field team a competitive force. His talents led him to compete and excel at the City Section championships.
Maxi Duncan has spent half of her life playing tennis full time. After finishing the second grade, her father decided that homeschool would be the best option, so Duncan can focus more on tennis.
Crenshaw Cougars senior guard Corey Ray is a multi-sport athlete, playing basketball and tennis. He is the co-captain of the boys basketball team, leading them to a 15-12 overall record and the Coliseum League title with a 8-1 record.
