Last year, after football season was over for Inglewood senior Jason Graves, he decided to compete in shot put. His football coaches recommended that he participate in track and field.
Centennial high school recent graduate Andrew Munns played for the Apaches baseball team during his senior year. Munns played baseball at an early age but spent some time away from competing in the sport. “I’ve been playing since I was eight or nine, then I stopped playing,” Munns said. “Then my coaches … got me to play out here again.” Munn’s father got him into baseball in his youth. Recent View Park graduate Andre Johnson Jr was a member of the rugby program for two years. He was invited to compete in the sport as a freshman.

Competing in track and field comes naturally for UCLA sophomore Zaylon Thomas. His athletic abilities allow him to excel without much formal or technical training.

Frederick K.C. Price school senior guard Dylan Daniels is proud to be a member of a winning team. The Price Knights boys basketball team has a 13-4 overall record and a 3-1 harbor league record. Daniels mentioned how the team has good chemistry on and off the field.
Serra senior guard Jeremy Dent-Smith uses his extensive experience in varsity competition to guide the Cavaliers boys basketball team. The squad is currently fifth in California Division III rankings and fourth in Division 2AA of the CIF Southern Section.
