Bryant Commits to Up-Building the Kingdom of God

Barbara Bryant truly relishes proclaiming the power of God and she’s been faithfully spreading that message for more than 25 years. In April 2021, Bryant was appointed jurisdictional supervisor/state mother for the Department of Women by Bishop Joe L. Ealy, presiding prelate of the SoCal First. One of her main duties is instructing women in the jurisdiction’s 200+ churches to grow ministries through prayer and evangelism.

Celebration of Life Set for Lillie Benbow Jackson

The life of District Missionary Lillie Benbow Jackson will be celebrated on Friday, August 27, and Saturday, August 26, at 88th St. Temple Church of God in Christ, 8825 S. Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles. Superintendent Anthony L. Williams, who is the son of Jackson Benbow, is also the host pastor. Her body will lie in state on Friday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Her homegoing celebration will begin at 11 a.m. All services will take place at 88th St. Temple. The Church of God in Christ Southern California First Jurisdiction’s Business and Professional Women (BPW) will Annual Day Conference on Saturday, Sept. 22, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the First BPW Headquarters, Emmanuel Church of God in Christ, 1399 E. 33rd St., in Los Angeles. The event is an extension of BPW’s observance of the 50th anniversary of the group’s 1968 elevation to a COGIC national auxiliary. SoCal 1st Business and Professional Women Celebrate 50th Anniversary

The Church of God in Christ Southern California First Jurisdiction’s Business and Professional Women (BPW) will celebrate the 50th anniversary of BPW’s 1968 elevation to a COGIC national auxiliary. BPW will also salute the appointment of its first president and chairwoman, the late Bessie Christian of Southern California First, and the late Gladys Yizar, as secretary. COGIC SoCal 1st Plans 103rd Holy Convocation

  The Church Of God In Christ (COGIC) First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Southern California will hold their 103rd Holy Convocation next week. According to Bishop Joe L. Ealy, presiding prelate, the event starts Monday, June 19 and continues through Sunday, June 25.  The 49th State Women’s Convention of Southern California First Jurisdiction Church of God in Christ convenes on July 23, through July 26, at the Desert Springs J. W. Marriott Resort & Spa, 74855 Country Club Drive in Palm Desert. Dr. Barbara McCoo Lewis is assistant general supervisor/jurisdictional supervisor and president of the convention, Bishop Joe L.
