The Dorsey Dons softball team finished their season on a high note by defeating the Manual Arts Toilers 13-3 during their senior night game. For baseball, the Dons continue to pace the Coliseum League as of Monday, defeating the Locke Saints 6-3.
The invitational will be from February 19-25. The Knights won back-to-back CIF City Section Championships in their first two seasons.

The CIF Southern Section is pleased to announce the top ten girl’s and boy’s athletic programs in the 26th Annual Commissioner’s Cup.
The reigning division III City Section Champions routed the Crenshaw Cougars girls softball team 24-6 on Thursday.
During this season, members of the team developed a better cohesion with one another and learned how to compete in a higher level.
Led by Head Coach, Leesa Harris and assistant coaches, Brittnei Price and Aprylle Ross, the Lady Knights recovered from a two-run deficit to defeat Vaughn High School by a score of 5-2, winning the championship.
View Park Prep girl’s softball team won the 2016 LA City CIF Section Girl’s Softball Championship in their first year competing
The View Park Knights softball team started their inaugural season this March. During their first game, two-time softball Olympian Natasha Watley threw the first pitch and was honored with a plaque by the school. “It’s very, very good to see that we have two schools are out here in the inner city–Dorsey, View Park—and we have the girls out here competing, playing and having fun,” said View Park Athletic Director Robert Ambers. The team’s first opponent was the Dorsey Dons, View Park lost to Dorsey 7-9. “We have a good chemistry now,” said sophomore player Camille Taylor. “Playing against other
