On Sunday, March 16th, 2025, Ilm Foundation hosted its 25th annual Humanitarian
Day (HDAY), an annual event dedicated to serving the underserved. Held at Gladys Park in Skid Row, sponsors, vendors and volunteers gathered to provide essential items, as well as eye, dental and health screenings, to those in need.

Robert Woods, Rebuilding Together and Lowe’s Come Together for 27thAnnual Kickoff to Rebuild 

On February 11th, Lowe’s Home Team Player and Los Angeles Rams wide receiver, Robert Woods, joined Rebuilding Together Of The City of Angels and Lowe’s, the Official Home Improvement Sponsor of the NFL, to provide essential repairs for 16 homes in Los Angeles neighborhoods including View Park as part of Kickoff to Rebuild. 

Report: COVID-19 Now is The Third Leading Cause of Death Among Black People

“In 2020, more Black Americans will die of COVID-19 than will succumb to diabetes, strokes, accidents, or pneumonia. In fact, COVID-19 is currently the third leading cause of death for African Americans,” concluded Trevon Logan, professor of economics at the Ohio State University and Bradley L. Hardy of the American University in Northwest, Washington D.C. Logan and Hardy are co-authors of a new report from the Brookings Institution, “The Hamilton Project, Racial Economic Inequality Amid the COVID-19 Crisis.”
