BCA Revived, Raising Awareness Around Black Coaches in Officiated Sports

Basketball requires unity under the hoop and along the sidelines. International basketball player, Pooh Jeter, understands the need to win as a whole team, which includes the person holding the clipboard.  Resurrecting the energy of diversity within coaching, Jeter is seeking more support for Black coaches by reenergizing the Black Coach Association (BCA). 

Jeter spoke exclusively with the Los Angeles Sentinel, providing the play-by-play as he dissected the reasons athletes need to see their likeness in their coaches and the demand for the collective community to look out for each other.

Nike hosted a virtual panel on Wednesday about the importance of girls playing sports. The panel consisted of decorated athletes: newly crowned WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson, Olympic Medalist and Nike coach, Shalane Flanagan, Team USA long-distance runner Marielle Hall, and Portland Thorns FC forward Sophia Smith.

Sneaker Culture is Focus of Outreach to Youth by ArtCenter College of Design

ArtCenter College of Design will provide free Sneaker Science workshops to kids ages 11 through 18 to encourage them to pursue higher education and, ultimately careers in the creative economy. The Rams and Nike Host High School Football Tournament

High school football teams throughout the Southland united at El Camino College to clash in the 11-ON Passing Tournament and Lineman Competition, hosted by the Rams and Nike.
