CSU Dominguez Hills to Receive Mayme Agnew Clayton Collection of African American History and Culture

California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) signed a historic agreement with the Mayme A. Clayton Library and Museum (MCLM) board of directors to house the Mayme A. Clayton Collection of African American History and Culture on campus in the Gerth Archives and Special Collections. Culver City’s Fiesta La Ballona will be held August 24-26, 2018 at Veterans Park which is located at 4117 Overland Avenue in Culver City. This spectacular summer festival features live performances, carnival rides and games, pony rides and petting zoo, a beer and wine garden, food trucks and a food court, vendor booths showcasing local groups and artisan wares, an aquacade at the Culver City Municipal Plunge, and an interactive sustainability information booth. The Opening Ceremony, with members of the Culver City City Council, will occur on August 24 at 6:00 p.m. in the Fiesta Entertainment Tent. The ceremony will include special performances by Ballet Folklorico de El Marino and The Actors’ Gang.
